Equipment

When considering high quality images the lens is more important than the camera.  For this reason I only use the best quality lenses

Canon EF 17-40 f4 L USM

Lens Construction (group) 12
Lens Construction (element) 15
No. of Diaphragm Blades 6
Minimum Aperture 22-32
Closest Focusing Distance (m) 0.5
Maximum Magnifcation (x) 0.16
Filter Diameter (mm) 67
Maximum Diameter x Length (mm) 73 x 69.5
Weight (g) 380
Features:
Ultra-wide zoom lens with a high zoom ratio. By having multiple lens groups move during zooming, the lens could be made compact and light-weight. The aspheraical element suppresses distortion. High contrast is maintained at all focal length and sharp images are obtained.

Canon EF 85 f1.8 USM

Lens Construction (group) 7
Lens Construction (element) 9
No. of Diaphragm Blades 8
Minimum Aperture 22
Closest Focusing Distance (m) 0.85
Maximum Magnifcation (x) 0.13
Filter Diameter (mm) 58
Maximum Diameter x Length (mm) 75 x 71.5
Weight (g) 425
Features:
A highly practical medium telephoto lens with superb delineation and portability. Images are sharp and clear at all apertures. Through computer simulations, the lens has been designed to give beautiful background blur. Since the front lens group does not rotate during focusing, special filter effects are not affected.

Canon EF 100 f2.8 macro

Lens Construction (group) 9
Lens Construction (element) 10
No. of Diaphragm Blades 8
Minimum Aperture 32
Closest Focusing Distance (m) 0.31
Maximum Magnifcation (x) 1.0
Filter Diameter (mm) 52
Maximum Diameter x Length (mm) 75 x 105.5
Weight (g) 650

Canon EF 135 f2 L USM

Lens Construction (group) 8
Lens Construction (element) 10
No. of Diaphragm Blades 8
Minimum Aperture 32
Closest Focusing Distance (m) 0.9
Maximum Magnifcation (x) 0.19
Filter Diameter (mm) 72
Maximum Diameter x Length (mm) 82.5 x 112
Weight (g) 750
Features:
The fastest 135mm telephoto lens in its class. Ideal for indoor ports and portraits with background blur. Two UD-glass elements correct secondary spectrum for outstanding sharpness and color. Compatible with Extender EF 1.4x and 2x.

Canon EF 70-200 f2.8 L

Lens Construction (group) 15
Lens Construction (element) 18
No. of Diaphragm Blades 8
Minimum Aperture 32
Closest Focusing Distance (m) 1.5
Maximum Magnifcation (x) 0.16
Filter Diameter (mm) 77
Maximum Diameter x Length (mm) 84.6 x 193.6
Weight (g) 1,310
Features:
This large aperture, super high image quality telephoto zoom lens provides performance comparable to that of a single focal length lens, with a wide zoom range.  Its major features include: a ring USM (Ultrasonic Motor) drive, built-in full-time manual focusing, short minimum focusing distance of 1.5m, high marginal illumination, and compatibility with Extenders EF1.4X and EF2X (extends the zoom range with AF to 98-280mm f/4 or 140-400mm f/5.6 respectively). Although this is a large aperture telephoto zoom lens, it is equipped with four low refraction/low dispersion UD (Ultra-low Dispersion) glass lens elements (2nd,3rd,11th & 13th) that offer excellent contrast and sharpness. This is a lens that deserves to be known as a super high performance telephoto zoom lens.

Canon EF 300 f4 L IS

Lens Construction (group) 11
Lens Construction (element) 15
No. of Diaphragm Blades 8
Minimum Aperture 32
Closest Focusing Distance (m) 1.5
Maximum Magnifcation (x) 0.24
Filter Diameter (mm) 77
Maximum Diameter x Length (mm) 90 x 221
Weight (g) 1,190
Features:
A compact and lightweight 300mm super-telephoto lens with Image Stabilizer(IS). The Image Stabilizer shifts a lens group(11th to 13th elements) in parallel to the film plane. Camera shake is a major cause of blurred images especially with telephoto lenses. The IS system helps resolving this problem. The image stabilizing effect is equivalent to about two steps of shutter speed. "IS Mode 2" is newly applied to stabilize finder images at panning shots of moving subjects. The optical system uses two UD (Ultra-low Dispersion) glass lens elements(2nd & 5th) to compensate secondary spectrum and provide sharp, high-contrast images from maximum aperture.
